What can be queried

  • Show route takes an IP address or a prefix and shows the global routing table for it. Ping sends 5 packets and Traceroute follows the path there — both need a single address.
  • Prefixes shorter than /8 (IPv4) or /24 (IPv6) are not queried.
  • Private and reserved address space is excluded; only public addresses can be queried.
